A major Armadale death investigation is under way after a 35-year-old man was found injured at a property on Harestanes Road and later pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday morning.
Air ambulance called to the scene
Police Scotland said emergency services, including an air ambulance that landed nearby at Bathville Park, responded to the West Lothian town shortly before midday. Detective Superintendent Michelle Findlay of the Major Investigations Team said officers remain in the area and that a post-mortem will take place in due course, with one line of inquiry being that the death may have involved a firearm.
Car fire being treated as linked
Officers are also investigating a car fire reported around the same time in the nearby Netherhouses area, which they are treating as potentially linked. No arrests had been announced as of Sunday, and the man’s next of kin have been informed.
