Smashology Media aims to correct material errors promptly, transparently, and proportionately. This policy explains how readers can report an error and how we document changes.
How to request a correction
Email info@smash-ology.com with the subject “Correction Request,” or use our Contact Us page. Please include:
- the article URL;
- the specific statement you believe is inaccurate or incomplete;
- the correction you believe is needed; and
- supporting evidence or a reliable source, where available.
How we review requests
The responsible editor reviews substantive requests against the article’s cited material and any credible new evidence. We may contact the requester for clarification. A request does not guarantee a change, but evidence-based concerns receive editorial review.
Types of changes
- Minor edits: spelling, grammar, formatting, or link repairs that do not alter meaning may be made without a formal notice.
- Material corrections: factual changes that affect a reader’s understanding receive a dated correction note explaining what was wrong and what changed.
- Updates: significant new information may be added with a dated update note.
- Clarifications: wording may be clarified when technically accurate text could reasonably mislead readers.
- Retractions or removals: content may be retracted, consolidated, or removed when it is fundamentally unreliable, unlawfully published, or cannot be responsibly corrected. Where appropriate, an explanatory notice will remain.
Editorial record
We do not remove a material correction note merely because the underlying text has been fixed. The article’s displayed modification date may also change when substantive revisions are published.
